Where can I go to have sutures removed?

I had to get sutures for a laceration, but it was at a hospital that was very far from home and they told me I have to have someone remove them after 10 days. I owe a lot of urgent care centers money and I don't think they will take me, but I don't have a doctor. Would it be sensible to just go to a local hospital? Are most doctors qualified to remove the sutures? Thanks!
