If you came into alot of $$$, what would YOU do for YOUR town to be a better place for the poor?

I'm coming into alot of $$$--my family discovered a whole bunch of rare, thought to be extinct sort of opal vein their land. Since I've been poor all my life, I want to use the $$$ I get to help out those like me: disabled, poor, etc. What would you do?
