Is plasctic surgery a no no for people who hope to have a serious career in showbiz??

yeah i know that stars have surgery later on in life but thats after they are in the mainstream business!! would this be looked down upon for someone who is trying to get themselves known?? no im not thinking about having it done its just a general question
