Can anyone describe Ashlee Simpson's voice to me?

I think she sounds like someone who's been smoking unfiltered cigs for about 35 years, and who accidentally swallowed a concoction of aquarium gravel and battery acid. Does anyone agree that she has the most gawdawful speaking and singing voice?
